The Pirelli Scorpion Verde has been created to take full advantage of Pirelli’s latest materials, structures and tread patterns in order to guarantee savings, respect for the environment, comfort and safety on all road surfaces.
Its environmental capabilities include lowering a car’s CO2 emissions and augmented fuel economy. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde achieves these green features by reducing rolling resistance and tire weight. The Eco-impact icon can be found on the sidewall of this year-round tire. Lateral siping accounts for augmented wet and winter traction while longitudinal siping brings about lateral stability, even on loose surfaces. The circumferential grooves on the tread remove water from the bottom of the tire to avoid hydroplaning. An asymmetric design is molded into the Scorpion Verde’s enhanced silica compound. A uniform contact patch and optimized rubber-to-void ratio on the asymmetric tread enables excellent road performance with even tire wear.
