For added wet road grip and fuel efficiency, the tire features a silica-enhanced compound. Multiple lateral and four longitudinal grooves ensure that water can be removed from the tire effectively to prevent hydroplaning.
Quicker acceleration and shorter braking distances in wet and dry conditions are attributed to the tire’s solid center rib. Some sizes of the tire have the Pirelli Noise Cancelling system. This technology reduces a car’s cabin noise through the placement of a sound-absorbing foam to the tire’s inner liner.
